The try square & miter square is used to check the right angle.  Also to measure and mark straight lines. It's made from a handle (or stock) and blade which are assembled at either 45° or 90° by rivet together. The handle is usually made of metal, aluminum, zinc, and plastic with different designs and is easy to take, and the blade is usually made of steel and aluminum. It is available in lengths of 150mm, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, 400mm, 500mm, and 600mm or 6 inches, 8 inches, 10 inches, 12 inches, 16 inches, 20 inches, and 24 inches. Generally used for woodworking and construction.
